Standing on the site of the former Silverhill Colliery, Teversal, Nottinghamshire, England, the sculpture, called Testing for Gas, was created by artist Antony Dufort as "A tribute to the Miners of the Nottinghamshire coalfields", commemorating coal mining at the 85 Nottinghamshire collieries. Listed on the base are the names of the principal collieries in the county 1819–2005.
